Catharsis, as in all tragedies, was achieved through the sacred mystery of baptism. <\/div><div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\u201cThe alarm for the appearance of the Germans had just ended. That year, spring had given way early to summer, yet, in the evenings, there was a chill in the high mountains. Psiloritis still held white, spear-like streaks of snow in its shadowy thickets. There, at dusk, when it grew damp, under the vast glow of the sky, as the stars lit up one by one, the partisans had gathered in a circle around the fire. Some threw branches to feed it, and others were busy with their weapons.    <br class=\"html-br\">Yiannis, sitting by the fire, was tidying his pouch. \u201cOn the stem of the night, the moon was faintly tearing.\u201d It was a trembling night, \u201cbeautiful as a cemetery, with descents of a cold sky.\u201d The Gods were lost that night.   <br class=\"html-br\">A metallic sound was heard. It was not like the others. The noise of the bolt being pulled back was different. He has written the poetry collection \u201cA Little More Light,\u201d the fairy tale \u201cThe Upside-Down Witch and Abu,\u201d the novel \u201cAnd So\u2026 Life Is Beautiful\u201d (published by Radamanthys Publications), the Greece scholarship guide, and participated in the compilation of the book \u201cAlbum of Teacher-Authors.\u201d He has been awarded in a literary competition for his short story \u201cA Midsummer Night\u2019s Dreams.\u201d He has also been awarded in two poetry competitions: a) by the \u201cCretan Logos\u201d Association of Writers and Literati and b) by the collective publication \u201cSpring Haikus\u201d by Anemologio Publications.
