Among them were the emblematic Erotokritos scholar David Holton, who came to us from the land of Shakespeare, and A. Anipsitakis, A. Zagotis, M. Papadakis, from the birthplace of Kornaros and Erotokritos.    <br class=\"html-br\">The theatrical interlude by Despoina Dretaki and Stelios Chrysafidis, the musical interlude by Giagos Chairetis, as well as the presentation by Dimitris Maramis, who had staged it as a musical, demonstrate the influence Erotokritos exerts on other arts beyond literature and can renew the work&#8217;s ties with the new generation.<br class=\"html-br\">The high-quality parallel events, such as the exhibition by Father Michalis Paterakis featuring the masterful manuscript of Erotokritos, the exhibition by the great painter Giorgos Kordis &#8220;in living depiction&#8221; analyzed by archaeologist and PhD candidate of NKUA Eirini Farantouri, the concert &#8220;Greeks and Turks Sing Together&#8221; at the Kazarma Venetian Fortress, and the theatrical group of Michalis Virvidakis from Chania with plays from the Cretan Renaissance, all contributed to connecting the Conference with the Sitian community.<br class=\"html-br\">The founder of the Foundation, Giorgos Galanakis, and the scientific director of the Conference, NKUA Professor Stefanos Kaklamanis, thanked the presenters and the people of the Foundation, promised to enrich Kornarian studies with the publication of the Conference Proceedings early next year, and renewed the appointment for 2028 with the 3rd International Erotokritos Conference of the V.K.
