And to discover among them familiar literary voices, such as Rea Galanaki, Alexis Panselinos, and George Veis. Friends like colleague and teacher Vassilis Papadopoulos and Sitian director Nasos Zagotis. Primarily, however, to discover wonderful pens from people who have honored the literary tradition of the place with their work, such as Niki Troullinou, Thanasis Hatzopoulos, Maria Topali, and colleague at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nikos Vlachakis, as well as brilliant academics like Walter Puchner, Euripides Garantoudis, and Alexis Politis (I am selectively mentioning a few).
