Museum Exhibition
The VITZENTZOS KORNAROS Cultural Center plans to set up a museum exhibition on the ground floor of its building dedicated to *Erotokritos* and its poet, Vincenzo Cornaro, which will be open to the general public as well as to the educational community through specially designed museum education programs.
The space will feature a wealth of informational material on V. Kornaros and his work, Sitia during the Venetian occupation, and the Cretan Renaissance. In addition, visitors will have access to audiovisual material featuring narration, musical adaptations, theatrical and visual representations of the work, as well as old editions of the text, artifacts from Kornaros’s era, toys, and works of art.
The aim is to discover Erotokritos with all one’s senses, to become familiar with the language, philosophy, and timeless value of this Kornaric work, and to engage with elements of the Cretan Renaissance and its achievements in the birthplace of this important poet.
