The competition’s theme focuses on love and pain in Erotokritos.
Taking this observation into account and inspired by the following verses:
“My thoughts are arrows, my heart is the target,
and they fight, and who can gather them together?
When desire wills and wants to conquer,
there is no knowledge nor power to fight it.”
students are encouraged to write short stories and poems, inspired by the relationship between Erotokritos and Aretousa, focusing on how love overcomes difficulties posed by society, family, distance, or other external forces in the present day.
