This book, recently published by Stegi VITSENTZOS KORNAROS, contains 25 texts that share the personal opinions, stories, experiences, and insights of their authors from their multifaceted encounters with Erotokritos.
It is a strange and beautiful feeling at the same time, to hold in your hands a collective volume in which you participate, ignoring your fellow travelers. And to discover familiar literary voices in them, such as Rea Galanaki, Alexis Panselinos, and Giorgos Veis. Friends such as my colleague and teacher Vasilis Papadopoulos and the director of Stia, Nasos Zagotis. Above all, however, discovering wonderful writers who have honored the literary tradition of the country with their work, such as Niki Troullinou, Thanasis Hatzopoulos, Maria Topali, and my colleague at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Vlachakis, as well as brilliant academics such as Walter Puchner, Evripidis Garantoudis, and Alexis Politis (to name a few). It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Heraklion journalist and author Nikos Psilakis just a few weeks ago.
