The Vitsentzos Kornaros Shelter, based in Siteia, Crete, the birthplace of Vitsentzos Kornaros, aiming among other things at the study and promotion of the poet’s work, announces the 2nd Pan-Cretan Student Contest for the academic year 2022-2023 in the categories: POETRY and SHORT STORY.
The contest aims to enhance teenagers’ self-expression and support the Literature and Composition curriculum in Secondary Education.
Vitsentzos Kornaros’s Erotokritos, an emblematic work of the Cretan Renaissance and an integral part of the European poetic tradition, continues to be a source of inspiration and creation to this day.
