The music group “Ilianthes” was formed in 2022, based in Syros. “Ilianthes” is fascinated and moved by the dynamic of traditional musical motifs and folk music creation that travels through time and reaches the present. Starting “from the root to the blossom”, it presents selections of Greek traditional songs/instrumental tunes as well as compositions by Greek artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, which are clearly influenced by Greek musical tradition, both stylistically and lyrically.
