Highlights from the SIMULTANEOUS chess match held on May 9, 2026, in Sitia Central Square.

In the context of the match, two experienced chess players, Eugenios Ioannidis (GM) and Anastasia Avramidou (FM/WIM), simultaneously faced dozens of players of all ages, transforming the square into a vibrant space for thought, strategy, and creative interaction.

The event was organized by STEGI VITSENTZOS KORNAROS with the support of the Municipality of Sitia, and marks the first step towards establishing a Chess Club in Sitia.
