Antonia Dretaki’s Engraving Workshop presents its annual exhibition at the VITSENTZOS KORNAROS Foundation, titled “routes”.

The exhibition’s starting point is the concept of the map. It does not function as a geographical orientation tool, but as a personal record of the experience of place. Participants observed the environment in which they move daily and sought elements that compose their own relationship with the city, such as frequently followed routes, beloved spots, memories, recurring images, objects, and small details of everyday life.

The engravings develop along personal routes that function as alternative maps of the city. Sometimes real and recognizable, sometimes symbolic or experiential, these routes form a collective narrative about how we inhabit, remember, and observe our place.
The exhibition attempts to draw attention to what we often overlook, highlighting the inspiration that can be hidden in the familiar and the everyday. Through engraving, the city is transformed into a field of observation and discovery, where each work constitutes a point on a broader map of experiences.
