The 3rd Student Competition of the VITSENTZOS KORNAROS Foundation for first-year students of the Department of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics of the Hellenic Mediterranean University concluded on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. The competition began on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, when the first-year students of the department were invited to the VITSENTZOS KORNAROS Foundation, where they were informed about Erotokritos by philologist Sofia Fousteri, to help them understand the work. Afterwards, they received the book “Erotokritos” and were informed about the competition. The students had ample time to study the work and then, in the amphitheater of ELMEPA, participated in a written competition with questions about the life of Vitsentzos Kornaros and his work “Erotokritos”.
The top three students will receive awards, accompanied by the following monetary prizes:
1st prize – €300
2nd prize – €200
3rd prize – €100
