On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming the drama club of Sitia’s 1st Junior High School to the Vitsentzos Kornaros Foundation, accompanied by their teachers Maria Metzogiannaki and Maria Chatzilambrou.
In April 2026, the drama club participated in the 2nd Ierapetra Student Theater Festival, presenting a modern and highly creative version of “Aretousa,” a performance that ingeniously combined different art forms.
Gina Stepanian, a member of the Foundation, spoke about the Foundation’s work and activities, as well as about the life of Vitsentzos Kornaros and “Erotokritos,” giving the students the opportunity to learn more about one of the most important works of Cretan literature.
An interactive group knowledge game on “Erotokritos” followed, in which the team with the highest score won a comic book version of “Erotokritos” as a prize.
The visit concluded with the presentation of the Foundation’s notebook to all members of the drama club and their teachers.
